Background of the Committee:
1. According to the Government Resolution of 12.10.2010, the Water Resources Department was restructured and the S.L.T.A.C. was established.
2. As per the Government Resolution dated 09.09.2015, the government has directed SLTAC to scrutinise the projects.
3. As per the Government Resolution on 04.08.2016, the SLTAC-1, Nashik and SLTAC-2 Pune were reorganized.
4. As per the Government Resolution on Date:- 15.07.2024 No. MISC. 2024/CR. 6/WR(Estt.), SLTAC-3 Amaravati were reorganized.
5. Projects under TIDC Jalgaon, GMIDC Aurangabad are scrutinizedunder SLTAC-1, Nashik.

Nature of work of the Committee:
1. To prepare a detailed scrutiny report of 28 points of the AA/RAA projects costing more than 25 cr and submit it to the government via corporation.
2. Prepare an evaluation note of the AA/RAAprojects costing Less than Rs. 25 crore and submit it to the Government via corporation.
3. Preparation of detailed report of 29 point sunder special repair/flood protection works/ expansion and improvement which are costing more than Rs. 25 crore and submitted to the government via Corporation.
4. To prepare an evaluation note of the projects under special repair/flood protection works/extension and improvement which are costing Less than Rs.25 cr and submit it to the government via corporation.
5. Scrutiny and restructuring of projects under SIT.
6. Scrutiny of RAA proposals under Baliraja (BJSY), Residual and PMKSY Scheme,
7. Work to be carried out as per the instructions given by the government time to time.
Current procedure for proposal scrutiny of AA/RAA:
1. After the scrutiny, all the remarks observed during scrutiny of the SLTAC are informed to the concerned corporation.
2. After receiving compliance, draft scrutiny notes will get prepared and sent to all committe members.
3. The proposal is placed in front of the committee for a resolution of clearance.
4. If some remarks arise in the meeting, then the concerned corporations are informed to comply with those remarks.
5. Once the clearance is done, the final scrutiny note is sent to the government via concerned corporation.
