The Maharashtra Engineering Training Academy Nashik conducts professional examinations for the in-service engineers below the rank of Executive Engineer. These examinations are conducted once in a year for each cadre. 

The in-services engineers of Water Resources Department, Public Works Department, Zilla Parishad and Maharashtra Irrigation Development Corporations can appear for the professional examinations as per Government Rules of each examination. 

The professional examinations are conducted in accordance with the provisions laid down in P.W. Manual at various locations in the state.
